Job Description

My global hedge-fund client requires a talented Systems Administrator to join their London office. You will have to opportunity to work with a wide range of technology, collaboration with global offices and provide support, automation, and management whilst learning from the of the best.To be successful you will need to have an outstanding academic background, ideally a first or a 2.1 from a prestigious university, excellent communication and customer facing skills as you will be dealing with traders and their complex technical issues on a daily basis, an analytical mind-set ands have the ability to picking up new things quickly. You must be an exceptional trouble shooter with very strong knowledge in Windows & Linux.Responsibilities:

  • A demonstrated interest in both building technology and helping others use it effectively, along with a desire to improve processes and technology are all prerequisites.
  • Familiarity with general systems administration; experience with phone, desk-side, and/or remote user support; knowledge of the Microsoft Windows enterprise environment and standard applications (such as Microsoft Office); and familiarity with a Linux or Solaris environment are requirements.
  • Experience with trade-floor support as well as familiarity with Python, PowerShell, and/or other scripting languages are pluses but are not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and superb organizational abilities are critical, as this role involves working with global colleagues across a diverse set of backgrounds and experiences on many different projects.
