Job Description

My client, an exciting and innovative software house who specialise within Digital Experience are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join their team.As a Senior System Administrator you will

  • Work globally, with a team of system administrators in a 24x7 environment to respond to tickets and projects
  • Based on business initiatives, identify hardware and software needs
  • Configure and maintain hardware platforms, virtual and cloud environments
  • Monitor and respond to network security events
  • Implement standards across global locations
  • Configure and maintain device and platform images
  • Ensure that backup is configured appropriately and running
  • Work within the guidelines of security and compliance requirements, including ISO, GDPR, PCI, eDiscovery, HIPPA, SOC II
  • Stay current with the industry to evaluate and propose new technologies as required
  • Implement new technologies to meet project goals
    • About you:
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience required
  • Certification in a technology preferred
  • Bachelors degree; or Associates degree preferred
  • Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux
  • Microsoft Hypervisor, cloud computing and storage
  • The ability to understand and compute storage and capacity
  • Ongoing execution of patch management
  • Maintains network security: protocols, ACLs, NSGs, subnets, netmasks, VLANs, virtual switches, Cisco switches & routers
  • Understands and consults regarding authentication methods: SSO, OAuth, LDAP
  • Maintains log files for patching, backup, network
  • Scripting: PowerShell
  • Monitoring and automation: PRTG, Sophos, iSensor
  • Solid troubleshooting skills
  • Third party product installation and troubleshooting as required
  • The ability to respond to multiple demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid oral and written communication skills
  • Solid documentation and Visio experience
  • Able to bridge technology and business needs
