Job Description

SWIFT AMH Technical SpecialistA global powerhouse within the professional services industry is looking for a SWIFT AMH Technical Specialist to join their team on an intial 5 month contract.You will be familiar with the SWIFT Alliance Messaging Hub (AMH), application and shall be a competent user of the product, with the skills and experience necessary to install, configure and tune core application components to meet client requirements.As an AMH engineer you will be required to build/deploy AMH at scale across a major UK bank and doing so, shall ensure that the solution delivered meets and exceeds client requirements in respect of anticipated load, performance, availability and benchmarking.As a SWIFT technical specialist, youll be the key delivery resource using your deep technical knowledge to help create a leading gateway solution for a major UK institution. Youll be working within a client feature team and with vast teams across the clientorganisation; liaising with other engineers, architects, and business analysts, to ensure the delivery meets stated requirements.You will also be required to work closely with infrastructure and environment teams, third party vendors and business franchises, to perform analysis of vendor-provided documentation and requirements, to support delivery.To perform in this role, you will need to be a competent collaborator, have strong communication and organisation skills and be proactive in respect of process and solution optimisation.Skills / Experience Required

  • SWIFT engineering experience gained in industry or consulting (Banks, Fintech, Consultancy)
  • Experience of installing, upgrading, and servicing Alliance Messaging Hub (AMH)
  • Be familiar with the broader SWIFT application suite (AMH, SAA, SAG, AWP etc)
  • Have a background in software engineering or software design - desirable
  • Be familiar with agile toolsets e.g. JIRA, Confluence etc
  • Be comfortable in operating a test-driven deployment approach, alongside use of automated test frameworks, mocking or stubbing and unit testing tools
  • Ideal candidate will have a background in solving highly complex, analytical, and numerical problems.
  • Hands on knowledge of other SWIFT products like - SAG, SAA, AWP & AMH
  • Have experience in configuring AMH STP, Workbench, RMA and Control Center
  • Have experience in the creation of user profiles and configuration of AMH for SAG connectivity, MQ connectivity, reference data set-up etc
