Job Description

You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £17,788- £21,239 per annum.All Saints is a dynamic service that provides short break accommodation for up to 6 adults with a wide range of learning and physical disabilities, sensory needs, challenging behaviours and complex healthcare needs.As Support Worker/Senior Support Worker you will ensure all aspects of care and support to the service users is maintained at a consistently high level, providing emotional and practical support to them on an individual basis, to enable active participation in the community.You will also ensure that individual programmes of care are planned, executed and monitored, so that a high quality of service is provided. You will work as a member of the staff team and assist in the supervision and professional development of members of the team and to carryout duties as delegated by the manager.Responsibilities as Support Worker/Senior Support Worker will include:- Providing opportunities and experiences for people to have control over their lives to increase their independence, knowledge and experience and to maintain and develop new life skills- Providing individual assistance and support to people in all aspects of their daily lives and to key work- Supporting people to contribute to their community and to be accepted as valued members of their local community- Working in partnership alongside people with disabilities, their families, local authority and others professional bodiesSupport Worker/Senior Support Worker will have:As Support Worker you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate a clear understanding and experience of Good Care and Best Practice in a respite service environment and strong experience within a Learning Disability service For the Senior role, experience in a supervisory andmanagerial role would be advantageous. You’ll certainly be a strong leader and coach; someone who is organised, resilient and flexible.You will be able to use Microsoft Office to update and create risk assessments, guidelines and support plans. You should be motivated with a willingness to learn, be a role model, good team player and with the support of management skills to be able to implement policies and procedures.You will have a good person-centred approach, excellent communication skills, that allow you to developa good rapport with the people we support, to write support plans. Whilst previous experience and qualifications would be beneficial, attitude and passion are much more important.For both roles, you should be flexible and be able to work a variety of shifts including early, lateor waking-night shifts.In return for your skills, knowledge and experience, youll enjoy all the support you need to develop a rewarding career, including an opportunity to attend a comprehensive training programme covering core skills,Corporate Induction and continue your professional development.
