Our client, a charity based in the London Borough of Newham, Forest Gate area, is looking to recruit a Lead Support Worker. The charity provides accommodation and person-centred support to longer term unemployed and homeless people, who are seeking to rebuild their lives.A DBS check and valid UK Driving licence is required.We are looking for a person who is passionate about supporting the homeless to reintegrate back with society to join the team.PCPs and reviewsManagement of support notesCo-ordination of benefit payments and support working residentsWork with the Finance administrator to ensure their Personal Finances are up to date and routinely collect service charges.Ensure clients abide by the conditions of residence and take corrective actions when needed. Report on monthly out comes. Produce quarterly and yearly out comes report.Maintain up to date contact database of support referral agenciesDevelop and maintain a resident resource pack giving basic information to get to know the immediate areas around each of the hostels.Develop a move on strategyCarry out the necessary administration to ensure client files are closed off and archived.Work with wider colleagues to ensure rooms are prepared for potential clients when there is a client move on.Work as part of Central team and ensure the smooth running of the hostels.Cover some responsibilities of colleagues as may be necessary while staff are on holiday to ensure the smooth running of the hostels.Be part of the on call rota.
