Job Description

Job Summary:This is a leading multi-asset fund focused on major macro asset classes, including interest rates, FX, equities, credit, and commodities in developed and emerging markets. They value technology highly and are looking to add an outstanding Support Engineer to their Quant/Enterprise Tech team. The Role: You will be:

  • Proactively ensuring systems are stable, performing well and accurate
  • Supporting the Quant/Enterprise Technology systems
  • Identifying technical challenges and opportunities, and providing practical solutions
  • Working closely with developers to manage release deployment whilst handling the test environment
    • Their stack is primarily focused on Microsoft .NET technologies (though candidates from any OO background are encouraged to apply) and you will be using Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 and ReSharper. Requirements:
  • Strong academic background with 2:1 (or higher) in a STEM subject from top-tier university
  • Sound programming and technology skills with an in-depth understanding of Microsoft technologies, e.g. C#, .Net, SQL, etc.
  • Substantial experience in the support function within financial services, e.g. a bank, hedge fund or other market contributor
  • Enthusiastic about programming and technology
  • Bonus points for software development life cycle experience
  • Previous exposure to a test-driven environment would be advantageous
