Job Description

Supply Chain Operations Manager – Amazon Greater London AreaGlobal Consumer Goods Business with Household Brands Are you an ambitious Supply Chain and Logistics Leader, looking to drive operational performance for a Blue-Chip Client working collaboratively with Amazon in both UK and International Markets Do you want to take ownership of a global distribution market, covering a globally recognised portfolio of household products, and look to build, train and develop a team to support the growth of their e-Commerce Market, then this is the opportunity for you!This Global Consumer Goods Business with 100’s+ Household Brands, who take pride in delivering world class products to their diverse portfolio of customer, are currently in the market for an Operations Manager, focussing on developing their collaboration with Amazon. The purpose of the role is to manage, simplify and provide continuous improvement to all aspects of the operational processes needed to effectively manage the Amazon business.Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Amazon to fully understand the opportunities to improve our service levels, reduce workload and generate cost savings for the business
  • Working cross functionally and with the support of the Amazon to ensure that we deliver a continuous improvement plan across Amazon, and achieve KPIs needed for business growth - including improving confirmation rates, reducing out of stocks, managing inventory, adhering to agreed processes and timelines
  • Working with our DCs to identify opportunities for improvements and increased efficiencies
  • Working internally to communicate and influence the business to deliver the necessary operational changes required to effectively win at e-comm
  • Manage Amazon operation initiatives - vendor flex, PICs, pallet ordering and other new proposals. Complete cost analysis to understand viability, run trials, analysis results and make business recommendations
  • Lead the operational on boarding of new Amazon markets across the region
  • Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required:
  • Degree calibre or extensive experience in digital assets/content management or eCommerce supply chain management
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in content creation/management or eCommerce operations
  • Experience of managing a global supply chain and distribution within an FMCG market would be beneficial
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Understand how to align trade terms to minimize the cost of doing business with Amazon & drive channel profitability
  • A strong influencer who can navigate internally to optimize our way of doing business to meet Amazon needs (product, supply chain, etc)
  • Excellent planning ability
