Job Description

Job Title: Supply Chain ManagerSalary: £35,000 - £50,000pa plus bonus (depending on experience)Location: London/BirminghamThis is a food tech business that is rapidly disrupting the food space and we are predominantly a DTC business with a fast growing B2B arm. They supply top Michelin star restaurants, hotels, street food businesses and dark kitchens across the UK and Europe. They are looking for a Supply Chain Manager will have full ownership of end to end supply-chain control and forecasting. The successful candidate will be spending a few days a week in the Birmingham warehouse, and some time in the London head office.About the position

  • Accurately forecast stock requirements across fresh, ambient and frozen categories
  • Increase gross margin through a strong grip on operational and purchasing KPIs and identifying and implementing improvement measures
  • Help drive cost price management, and negotiate agreements that deliver on-going cost reduction
  • Understand and learn the HACCP across our supply chain and work with our Technical team to ensure that all products we buy conform to current food safety standards, have detailed specifications and appropriate accreditations
  • Establish, track, and report on supplier KPIs and find ways to drive commercial and product quality improvement collaboratively.
  • Work closely with Operations to understand how the products are packed and work to improve the quality of ingredients in transit.
  • Help drive improvements in the sustainability of our packaging, including reduction, reuse and recycling.
  • Actively seek new or alternative supply partners working closely with our Product and Technical teams on NPD to ensure that we are constantly innovating and improving our customer experience.
  • Manage stock and replenishment with on time, in full deliveries
  • Maintain close contact with our suppliers and monitor performance to implement improvement projects
  • Forecast, review and sign off labour requirements for the warehouse packing team
  • Learn how to weigh up cost, quality, brand and customer experience when deciding what is best for the company
  • Work with the onsite warehouse team to ensure they have the products required for pack day
  • Drive continuous improvement when it comes to product quality, packaging sustainability and ethical sourcing
  • Oversee and execute cross-functional product & service improvements for customers, including reducing the lead times, increasing the choice of meals available and additional add-on products.

  • Hands-on and numbers-driven with a strong commercial understanding and focus on impact
  • Ability to accurately forecast inventory
  • Experience within food/beverage/perishables/CPG/eComm/FMCG businesses
  • Have had experience in sourcing products from within the UK as well as further global procurement experience
  • Confident control of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is a must
  • Communicative, proactive and enterprising
  • Flexible, hands on and team orientated.
