Job Description

Supply Management Manager Business Area - Infrastructure & OperationsProduct Group6 months The Supplier Management Manager is part of the Infrastructure & Operations Product Group. This position will serve as a leader in charting and embedding the FCAs Supplier Management Framework and supplier engagement strategy and will help mature the authoritysStrategic Supplier Management function.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage a team of Supplier Managers 6/7 to provide a strategic supplier management service to

  • Technology, including Service Level reporting, operational risk and issue management, quality management, knowledge management process management, supplier management and financial management in relation to suppliers of outsourced services and assets.
  • Lead supplier engagements
  • Create and implement processes and templates so they are in line with regulatory requirements and FCA strategic goals
  • Advise Senior Management regarding supplier strategy and planning
  • Manage and facilitate materially complex supplier agreements
  • Work closely with business partners to ensure requirements are incorporated into supplier strategies and corresponding supplier statements of work
  • Develop and implement systematic supplier management process to maximise efficiency and reduce vendor risk
  • Act as SME in negotiating supplier contract pricing, rebates, and performance terms
  • Establish supplier qualification and on-boarding process for new suppliers
  • Evaluate and quantify risks to inform management of potential risk exposure on transactions and wider supplier relationship
  • Facilitate mitigation of ongoing supplier disputes and issues
  • Review service level and key-performance indicators, and work with suppliers to resolve service
  • Issues
  • MINIMUM CRITERIA:
  • 5+ years or relevant experience in managing suppliers
  • Thorough understanding of outsourced contracts
  • Strong analytical skills to make decisions from data sources and historical information
  • Commercial awareness
  • Experience in leading a team of experts to deliver supplier management services, including mediation and dispute resolution
  • Experience in contract development and administration
  • Experience of working in a large standards-based corporate environment where ability to work to tight deadlines is important
  • Experience of RACI type deliverables framework
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills
  • Ability to chair and lead meetings
  • Confident decision maker with a collaborative nature
  • DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
  • Experience in training technical staff in contractual mechanisms
  • Strong understanding of business process and systems integration
