  • To lead in facilitating the training, education and development of both pre and post-graduate learners.
  • Organisation and implementation of study days and clinical supervision.
  • To have day to day responsibility for the supervision of the treatment radiotherapists
  • To work as a senior member of the radiotherapy team responsible for maintaining and developing the radiotherapy service.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the treatment radiotherapists.
  • In conjunction with the other Superintendents, ensure all referrals for radiotherapy are dealt with promptly and efficiently in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • In conjunction with senior radiotherapeutic staff, agree, implement and monitor systems of work, quality assurance procedures and protocols.
  • To take responsibility for the organisation of training and development of all post graduate staff from induction onwards. Reviewing all training competencies, reporting any issues/concerns to relevant management.
  • To provide clinical tutorials and ensure the clinical area is an effective learning environment.
  • To co-ordinate and support staff with completing all mandatory training in line with the companies learning Academy.
  • To maintain departmental training records in accordance with external legislation eg IR(ME)R.
  • To assist with individual performance review and the development of personal development plans.
  • To facilitate clinical supervision/ reflective practice amongst the team.
Skills & Experience
  • DCR(T)/BSc (Hons) in Therapeutic Radiography or equivalent
  • HCPC registration
  • Experience at a supervisory senior level
About the FacilityThe Radiotherapy Department at THSC treats approximately 700 patients per year utilising two Varian linacs with full RapidArc, IGRT and Gating capabilities. In addition, the Radiosurgery service at HCA includes the UKs first CyberKnife based at The HarleyStreet Clinic (THSC) and The London Gamma Knife Centre, located at Platinum Medical Centre.#LI-NT1
