Produced by a network of correspondents and editors working in more than 30 countries, our expert independent reporting makes us the trusted resourcefor our industry and essential reading for collectors, art advisors, policymakers, museum and heritage professionals and those who enjoy visiting art fairs, gallery and museum shows worldwide.The Art Newspaper is looking for an experienced Subscriptions Marketing Manager to play a key role in growing subscriptions revenue and volume.Role and Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement multi-channel marketing campaigns to acquire and retain new B2C subscribers in key locations, meeting all KPIs
  • Build a calendar of events around key seasonal times, product launches and updates and engagement activities
  • Devise, manage and execute marketing campaigns to generate and qualify leads for our group subscriptions sales consultant to sell corporate subscriptions
  • Use segmentation to make sure that communications are being sent to right audiences with the correct message
  • Conduct tests, monitor the results, provide feedback to the stakeholders and use the insight to inform future campaigns
  • Work with the Art Director, Commercial to create promotions that effectively communicate the subscription proposition and that are aligned with the brand
  • Work with the digital department and the fulfilment house to improve user journeys, increase conversion rates and engagement levels
  • Work the customer care team to make sure we offer our subscribers the best possible service
  • Work with the editorial team to understand content available and use in marketing campaigns
  • Work with the commercial teams on partnership opportunities for subscription sales
  • Conduct analysis of the market to track competitor activity
  • Keep up to date with industry best practice to make sure The Art Newspaper is at the forefront of subscriptions marketing
  • Support the growth of the iOS and Android devices in key regional territories
  • Support engagement activities such as exclusive talks and tours
The CandidateWe are looking for a creative and confident self-starter with a proven track record of acquiring new subscribers and retaining them profitably.Experience:
  • A minimum of 3 years experience of subscriptions marketing
  • Bachelors degree in marketing or equivalent subject
  • Experience of managing email campaigns
  • Experience of how to use CRM to maximise the retention of subscribers
Personal Qualities:
  • Excellent analytical skills. Has the ability to turn insights into dynamic marketing campaigns
  • Good project management skills with the ability deliver multiple projects on time and budget
  • A self-starter, drive projects forward on own initiative
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and external partners
  • Confident, organised and has an attention to detail
  • Creative with excellent copywriting skills
  • A problem solver who can find alternatives and opportunities
  • Good excel skills
  • A good awareness of subscription industry
