The Institute of Export & International Trade (IOE&IT) is the leading UK membership association for those working in exporting and importing. These are exciting times in international trade and we’re seeing sustained growth in the demand for our servicesand qualifications - as a result, our team needs to grow too.We are now recruiting a Strategic Account Manager to develop our strategic partner relationships with our Members and Clients. You will be working on key initiatives to help our customers make the most of this rapidly changing sector andthe new Border strategy, along with multi-million UK, EU & International Tenders to deliver lasting impact in the customs/international trade sector.This is a hybrid role with occasional visits to either our Peterborough or London office, as well as face time with the partners we work with.JOB BRIEFAs a Strategic Account Manager, you will be developing our business partnerships through our most strategic customers. You will engage at the most senior levels, bring solutions to help grow their business through the knowledge and experience of our expansiveteam of International Trade experts.UK Borders are changing following our exit from the EU and you will use your extensive business development skills to help position IOE&IT as partner of choice. The Government is keen to make smarter use of data and technology as outlined in their 2025 BorderStrategy, which embraces innovation, simplifies processes for traders, and improves the security / biosecurity of the UK.This is all part of exciting developments in International Trade following our transition out of the EU. New developments include : Customs Declaration System (CDS), Single Trade Window, Target Operating Model (TOM) and the EcoSystem of Trust to help buildbetter borders for the UK. The government is also looking at ways to have accredited Customs Brokers, so making sure people in the industry are properly qualified so supply chains are working correctly. The more this is embraced, the more partners will beable to seize the opportunities this brave new world brings. And this is where IOE&IT comes in!You will have a proven history of driving joint partner go to market initiatives, achieving sales targets, customer obsession, and partner collaboration, this role will give the opportunity to leverage your extensive network and sales experience to executeagainst a territory account plan.
