Job Description

The Store Solutions team is responsible for the technical and functional operations of all systems within Lidl GB stores and the identification, specification and delivery of solutions to meet business requirements.The role of the Store Solutions Consultant is to provide the business with advice / solutions and assistance with technical, functional and process related matters associated with core Store solutions, including but not limited to stock managements, backoffice functions, POS, CCTV, Personnel / Time & Attendance and store ordering solutions.What youll do

  • Actively engage and consult with business departments to ensure that system capabilities are utilised and required functional enhancements
  • Identify and capture business processes that can be improved through existing or new solutions and create solution proposals
  • Actively engage in all aspects of the software and hardware life-cycle (e.g. Research, testing, configuration and installation)
  • Create and support the implementation of test plans for store solutions in the country, both delivered locally and by our international offices
  • Create specifications for system changes and coordinate with internal development, International IT or external solutions providers on their implementation
  • Ensure that those using the solutions provided have the necessary skill levels
  • Participate in and run projects at both a national and international level
  • Applying, integrating and complying with International standards
  • Actively participates in proactive investigations and discussions with business departments relating to store internal processes
  • Manage the ongoing change, release and test management of systems and processes together with business departments
  • Provide a level of IT support and incident management to supported systems
  • Optimisation of business processes through use of appropriate technical solutions
  • Ensure that solutions in use are fully documented and supported
  • Out of hours on call support on rota basis and occasional overnight/ weekend work due to upgrades and system support
What youll need
  • Knowledge of Release and Demand Management Processes
  • Experience in Project Management: Ability to run and plan projects
  • Ability to logically analyse problems and produce, source or specify solutions
  • Experience in stakeholder management
  • Identifying and correlating independent incidents to understand potential root causes
  • Problem solving mind set and being able to qualify, investigate and to resolve issues
  • Previous experience of at least one of the following core business systems; Back Office, Stock Management, Point of Sale, Personnel / Time Attendance Systems or CCTV Monitoring Systems
  • Strong ownership of tasks and a keen eye for detail
  • Proactive and keeping up to date with latest policies and procedures
  • The ability to multi-task and absorb new information
  • Practical working knowledge of ITIL v3 or higher would be desirable
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • The ability to communicate with all levels of the business
  • Must be a team player and a self-learner
  • German language skills would be desirable
  • UK Driving License
  • PassportThis role will include European travel
