Redstone Commodity Search are working with an international steel trading and distribution company looking for a steel trader (Long/ Flat products) to join their team in the UK, to buildand develop trading lines into the North African market. Key Responsibilities / Tasks Responsible for business development and trading steel products (flat/ long) into the North African markets (Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, South Sudan, Sudan, Tunisia,Western Sahara) Manage entire supply chain from source to delivery for the various product lines as per contract including: slabs, rolled coil, coated steel, tin plate, billets, blooms, rebars Recognising and on-boarding new customers and managing their processesto ensure smooth delivery of volume & margin targets based on a monthly/quarterly/ annual targets Monitoring market activities and contract performance Reports into the Global Trading Director Key Qualifications / Experience Between 3 - 5 years experiencetrading steel products into the North African markets (Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, South Sudan, Sudan, Tunisia, Western Sahara) Experience focusing on flat/ long steel products (billets, merchant bars, tubes/pipes, structural sections, reinforcing bars,wire rods, HRC, CRC, slabs, plates, pre-painted, galvanised etc.) A transferable book of business within the North African markets as necessary (Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, South Sudan, Sudan, Tunisia, Western Sahara) Fluency in English and French as essential,Arabic as a benefit Located in the UK (happy to relocate from Europe)
