You will automatically be enrolled into the company pension scheme.Permanent, Full TimeOur client a highly established and reputable trade association who has over 1,700 member companies is looking for a Standards Manager.The Role of Standards ManagerThe Standards Manager will manage the assurance work stream, working with the Management Team and reporting to the General Manager, Assurance, Certification & Standards.Key ResponsibilitiesAuditor engagementAudit oversight programGrievance mechanism, complaints, allegations, critical breach cases and disciplinary proceedingsManage the Assurance CommitteeUpdate and review the Assurance documentation.Assurance dataManagement of compliance & projects.Manage the assurance team member(s)Person SpecificationPlanning and organising: ability to plan and organise tasks and work to achieve the set objectives, priorities and scheduled activities.Strategic communication: High proficiency in verbal and written English, ability to communicate complex technical terms concisely (in plain English) and strategic input and suggestions effectively, familiarity with the language used for standards. Abilityto organize and deliver information accurately and timely, to listen actively and incorporate stakeholder input appropriately to advance the strategic goals of theTeamwork with purpose: ability to interact with people effectively and in a respectful manner; able and willing to share and receive information; ability to co-operate within the department and across the organisation; ability to support organisational decisionsand put the organisations goals ahead of own goals.Proven experience and a high level of understanding and knowledge of assurance systems or auditing (auditing, compliance, certification), with a relevant auditor training course, preferably in environmental or social standard systems.Proven experience of engagement and knowledge preferable.Excellent level of understanding of sustainability issues (such as business ethics, environmental impact, labour and working conditions, health & safety responsible sourcing and human rights).Knowledge of the jewellery supply chain preferable.A degree in a relevant field is beneficial.Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently with databases.Ability to work across different disciplines and cultures.Ability to speak other languages is beneficial.To apply to this role please send your CVDue to the volume of applications we are only able to contact successful applicants.
