The team leads the deal structuring and due diligence process partnering with the Technology Banking Team on the delivery and negotiationof solutions and is responsible for proactive, robust portfolio management including maintaining credit quality.The Senior Associate conducts due diligence and supports the structuring and delivery of credit solutions through underwriting new loans, Cash Management requests, renewals, and credit actions related to modifications or changing risk. Supports the overalllending process on new deals and modifications to existing deals, from initial analysis through documentation and closing. Reviews and analyses information and opines on clients performance and compliance status, changing level of risk and broader trendsin portfolio. Utilizes critical thinking skills in supporting VP’s and Directors/MD’s on both recommendations and actions pertaining to pipeline and portfolio management. Robustly completes portfolio management activity with practices that meet HSBC InnovationBanking policies/procedures in terms of timeliness, completeness, consistency and accuracy. Handles client needs by interacting with appropriate internal and external stakeholders. Develops expertise in HSBC Innovation Banking loan types and marketsRequirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience
• Track record ofexcellentcreditskills.
• Credit analysis and accounting experience.
• Able to contact established clients, under guidance from the Director/MD or Vice President.
• Ability to excel in a dynamic environment
• Ability to lead simultaneous assignments and produce results in time-sensitive circumstances.
• Ability to take ownership of and drive processes, but also knows when to escalate or engage others
• Works collaboratively with internal and external partners
• Skilled at analyzing data to support and improve business decisions
• Capable offinancial modelling and analysing management accounts.
• Able to produce a high-quality draft credit memo and leverages resources to support and verify reasoning.
• Able to quickly dissect large amounts of information and identify key focus areas, risks, issues and questions.
• Confident in prioritising workload, raising any issues and coordinating with colleagues to ensure all requests and deadlines are met.
