The Photography area comprises four studios, a digital post-production area, a 3D capture lab and a black and white darkroom. The team provides support for all students at CSM.As the post holder for this key position within the Photography Team, you willtake a leading role in delivering technical teaching and managing the day-to-day activities in the CSM Photography Technical facility including: Setting up and supporting studio shoots Supporting still life, copy stand and 3D capture studios/tables Providinga point of reference for students working in the traditional and digital darkrooms Creating printed and online resources to support teaching and learning Supporting students using blended teaching methods Contributing to the development of photography at CSMThepost holder will also take a lead role in a number of key areas including: Supporting the teams communication and organisational systems Running the Online Resource Booking system (ORB) for Photography and acting as a point of reference for ORB to Technicalcolleagues at CSM Handling requests from students and staff including timetabling / scheduling of teaching and learning activities Being responsible for the ordering of equipment, consumables and services using Agresso Working collaboratively with the TechnicalTeam and Technical Coordinator to ensure the effective use and monitoring of budgets Ensuring Health and Safety standards are met Monitoring and reducing the Carbon footprint of the facility Promoting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in the workplaceWhy chooseus Central Saint Martins is a world-leading centre for arts and design education. They should have advanced practical knowledge and hands-on experience in: Creative studio photographyand lighting DSLR use for still photography and video Digital image editing (Adobe Suite, Lightroom, CaptureOne etc) and publishing Film photography (including 35mm, medium and large format) and black & white darkroom processes Digital image processing i.e.Photoshop scripting, panoramic and 360 stitching and focus-stacking, 3D captureAs well as technical skills related to Photography, we are looking for someone who also has substantial experience developing material for online and blended learning environments,has experience working with, developing and supporting online booking systems and is comfortable managing consumable material budgets and capital expenditure.
