Specialist Headteacher - ASC and Learning Difficulties North London £60,000 - £70,000 Compass Associates are working closely with a valued client who offer high quality Residential Care and Specialist Education for children with diagnoses of Autism, Learning Difficulties and Social Emotional Mental Health needs nationwide. They have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced and passionate Headteacher to open a brand new day school in North London. Overview The school will cater for pupils aged 11 - 15, who have a diagnoses of Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Mild Learning Difficulties and Speech and Language Needs. The day school will be brand new and will be one of many schools the organisation successfully runs in the area, therefore support from other schools will be on hand. You will be involved in the project from the very beginning therefore a driven and visionary Headteacher is needed for this post. You will collaborate with the Senior Management Team and be involved with the design of the school, take lead on the registration of the school and work closely with internal and external parties. Through your skilled leadership you will ensure the school becomes an outstanding school in the sector and all pupils achieve their maximum potential. Criteria ** Successful Headship within a Specialist School ** Qualified Teacher status & NPQH is desirable ** Evidence of strong leadership qualities and skills ** In depth ASD / LD experience, and an obvious passion for the sector ** Extensive Knowledge of OFSTED and their inspection process ** Previous experience of motivating and managing challenging students ** Performance management and strategic planning ** Strong communication and self management skills Location This school is commutable from Watford, Enfield, Chelmsford, Ilford, Edgware and surrounding areas Contact For further information, or to apply, please contact Yazmin Collins.
