Salary: SC5 £25,137 - £26,520 per annum, pro rataContract Type: Part-time (20 hours per week) Fixed term contract until 31/03/2023Closing Date: Sunday 17th April 2022About the RoleHaringey Council has been successful in securing an extension to the flagship Haringey Community Gold: Committed to supporting disaffected youth in Haringey programme which ran over the last over 3 years. The programmes structure requires Specialist Outreachfocus engaging the target group, identified in the grant application.The Detached Outreach Worker team will support young peoples engagement and participation in the design, development, delivery, implementation and evaluation of all Haringey Community Gold related projects through co-production, promoting a Public Health approachto tackling violence, crime and ASB. The post holders will engage and support disenfranchised young people (11-25 years) at risk of becoming involved in violence, gang activity, or, offending. The role will involve managing initiatives and events to buildrelationships with communities and raise the profile of the programme. The post holder will also work with a variety of stakeholders to build community relations.About YouWe are looking for Detached Outreach Workers with practical experience of developing successful relationships and partnerships with a range of stakeholders.You will need a demonstrable ability and track record of successful engagement with young people and their families in building positive and productive working relationships.You will have an understanding of Safeguarding and Health and Safety responsibilities in relation to delivering interventions in both centre settings and off site. You will need to be a motivated, innovative and creative self-starter with the ability to managea diverse workload.This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. An enhanced disclosure check with the DBS will be undertaken.
