Job Description

Becoming a Solutions Architect with Capita Intelligent Communications (CIC):You will support Capita Intelligent Communications (CIC) overall vision by working with Senior Management, CRMs, Product Managers and other relevant stakeholders to understand client / market requirements and assist in the creation, management and continual development of the overriding Solutions strategy needed to meet these requirements. This includes primarily Outbound Services: transactional print and mail, Hybrid Mail, print management, digital services, data services and marketing services. Also good knowledge of Inbound Services (e.g. scanning / imaging, capture, records management, storage and retrieval, digital mailroom and document workflow).It also includes the solution sets (tools, processes and services) needed to meet market needs and enable the achievement of core financial objectives - revenue and contribution. This position is fully remote with occasional travel to customer sites across England.What you will do:To act as a customer-facing subject matter expert / analyst on the solution sets needed to meet client and market requirements for all CIC servicesTo maintain a thorough understanding of market requirements (technical) as they relate to the strategic direction of the businessTo assist in the development of the pre-sales tools and services needed to advance prospect / client opportunities through this critical stage of the sales cycleTo provide advice, support and guidance to Senior Management and CRMs in pre-sales scenarios - including presentations / demonstrations to prospects and customersCarry out assessments of customer communications / document production processes, technologies and legacy document process workflows - including requirements gathering and definitionHold the ownership of the solutions design aspects of the proposed solutionTo map and document legacy business processes and articulate associated solutions. This includes the drafting of visit assessments, project briefing documents, proposals, solution statements, specification documents, development briefs and other forms of written communicationTo actively contribute to RFI and RFP strategy and responses for CIC and Capita Group sales levelsAssist in the accurate completion of company sales governance processesTo liaise with the CICs project management / development teams on customer projectsTo complete regular management and financial reports for all project work in line with business objectivesAbout you:Ability to work independently in the achievement of assigned targetsExperience in the transactional print and mail industry (including competitor landscape)Document management solutions and delivery knowledge - with ability to evaluate, develop and deploy communication solutionsExcellent knowledge of Print protocols and data mapping functionsExperience of business analysis including Business Process Re-engineeringExceptional written and verbal communications - with the ability to outline complex propositions in laymans termsPre-Sales support functions including client facing presentations to multiple audiencesStrong interpersonal skills and the associated ability to interact with individuals at all levels within the organisation, clients, partners and suppliersAwareness of Document Composition and associated tools e.g. Quadient software suite, Integrity Printing software, PlanetPress, IPDS, AFP, Postscript,Understanding of print production and workflows and awareness of DSA / Mailsort tariffsThorough knowledge of Inkjet Printing, Toner printing and security printingStrong technical capability to be able to detail technical requirements to developersEvidenced experience of Multiple Channel Communications, email, sms, EDMSEvidenced experience of Enterprise Document Management SystemsSound experience of Microsoft Office tools - including Visio and ProjectExperienced in creation of Project BriefsExperienced in creation of Development BriefsDesired Experience/Skills:Educated to degree level or equivalent and / or hold professional Business Analysis qualification e.g. ISEBExperience working with enterprise implementations of ECM, EDRM and EDM technologyFully experienced with Document Composition, data mapping and associated tools e.g. Quadient Inspire / PlanetPressUnderstanding of print production and workflows and awareness of DSA / Mailsort tariffsExcellent experience of Inkjet and toner digital printing technologies including Hybrid MailUnderstanding of document capture technologies; in particular image transformation software, software configuration and image manipulationUnderstanding of all aspects relating to secure data handlingProven delivery of presales client facing workflow demonstrationsMigration of print volumes from local to centralised productionWhat we hope youll do next:Choose Apply now to fill out our short application, so that we can find out more about you.Were an equal opportunity employer, which means well consider all suitably qualified applicants regardless of gender identity or expression, ethnic origin, nationality, religion or beliefs, age, sexual orientation, disability status or any other protected characteristic.
