Job Description

Interim Solutions ArchitectDaily rate: £500 INSIDE IR35Location: fully remoteContract length: 3 months (likely to extend)We are working with a local council who are in need of an interim Solutions Architect to be responsible for creating efficient and effective detailed technical, data, business and security solutions that adhere to the technical architecture and meeting organisationalbusiness objectives.Accountabilities

  • Be responsible for designing technical, data management, security and business solutions that successfully translate user requirements in to effective and efficient operationally viable technology
  • Ensure that enterprise wide and specific business solutions are designed to align correctly to architectural principles and technical architecture to ensure standardisation, simplification, sharing and re-use
  • Apply policies, standards and good practices when designing solutions to ensure compliance between business and technology plans and enterprise transformation activities
  • Contribute as a technology subject matter expert to the delivery of technical innovation
  • Responsible for the provision of expert technical advice and guidance to the Commercial Team
Experience required:
  • Evidence of continual professional development to keep pace with technical and business change that meet defined SFIA & competencies
  • Able to demonstrate strong experience in a Solutions Architecture Role working within a large Local Authority or with a private sector organisation providing Public Sector Services
  • Demonstrate a track record of successfully working within effective teams delivering Business Solutions that have been proved successful in meeting complex business requirements
  • Accredited to TOGAF 9.2 and must have demonstrable understanding and capability to employ supporting frameworks and methodologies including ArchiMate, BPMN, COBIT and IT4IT
  • Able to demonstrate a clear understanding and capability to work within relevant ICT related standards including IITIL V3, ISO/IEC 38500, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 22301, ISO/IEC 20000, PRINCE2 and MSP
  • Experience in the use of Enterprise Modelling tools and methods such as EA Sparx and Orbus iServer and developing systems in line with GDS and Cyber Security Group guidelines
