Solution Architect with a cyber security focus, required to work with a central Government department. This is an initial 6 month contact, inside IR35, paying up to £600 per day. Remote until further notice (offices based in London)Ideally you will hold valid and current SC ClearanceSummary You will work in partnership with functions across the Department to secure the systems and environments the organisation relies on to achieve their objectives. You will be part of a team that is the dedicated function to oversee, govern and assure information and cyber security.To fully understand the cyber risks, you will work in collaboration with all Department functions, particularly those procuring, developing or operating IT systems that process data. In order to offer the best support and guidance on how those risks can be managed effectively, early and considered engagement functions will be critical.Key Deliverables and Milestones*Review current HLD/LLD documentation and requirements and generate Strategic Solution Design document*Development and delivery of initial reference architecture design and related suite of documentation *Completion of Traceability Matrix*Production of report detailing changes required to environments to ensure successful operation of toolset*Production of initial documentation and related artefacts to support assurance activities *Document technical joining standards*Implementation of the toolset and design on DEV (for promotion to staging, PROD)*Conduct testing and capability assessment. You will*Work with existing operational teams and cyber functions to capture the to-be position for the Tenable toolset:oImplement a solution that delivers a central and accurate view of vulnerabilities across a highly varied and fragmented landscape of assets - spanning different services, hosts and applications;oEnsure the proposed solution provides coverage of a mixed economy of deployed assets including on-premise, cloud-hosted and hybrid approaches;oPlan and document for the expansion of the existing solution to provide wider coverage; detailing any potential investment in supporting technologies or related products to achieve this aim.oWork with relevant Operational Support and Development teams to ensure knowledge transfer and ongoing support and maintainance of the solution.*Design, develop and implement a reference architecture for Threat & Vulnerability Management utilising the Tenable product suite, including:oThe creation of a suite of documentation detailing reference patterns, logical and component views, and an overarching System Engineering view for the proposed technical solution; oConsideration and application of best practices and standards in the deployment of this toolset;oAttendance at relevant governance meetings and the production of supporting documentation and clarifications, where required, to ensure implementation of the solution; oThe completion of a traceability matrix that evaluates this design against the specified functional, non-functional and emerging requirements for the solution.oImplementation of the solution on DEV, staging and PROD environments.*Identify dependencies, configuration changes or other required alterations across the wider enterprise environment to ensure successful operation of the proposed Tenable solution.oEnsure that the solution design and implementation is resilient and flexible to support a variety of approaches to ensure asset discovery and collection of vulnerability data at an enterprise level;oProduce necessary documentation, clarifications or support requests to facilitate changes within the target environments to ensure successful operation of the toolset;oRevise or refactor any architectural designs or documentation for PROD based on testing in DEV or staging environments;oDocument system joining standards/connection requirements for the technical solution and future onboarded systems/assets;oAssist in the development of test plans/quality assurance and any capability assessment of the deployed tooling once deployed/in-situ.*Ensure assurance of the implemented solution through collaboration with the Cyber Security Assurance Services (CSAS) department and relevant assurance leads:oDeliver solution documentation and other relevant artefacts to support assurance activities;oIn collaboration with the Threat & Vulnerability Management team to assist in the production of Target of Evaluation (ToE) documents and commissioning of IT Healthcheck assessments of the solution; Please apply should you meet the above criteriaBadenoch + Clark acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
