Job Description

This is an exciting and unlimited opportunity to contribute to the solar PV and storage programme within the business by identifying and releasing potential value from the organisation and 3rd party land portfolio.As Senior Developer, youll be progressing and growing the solar pipeline by identifying, screening and developinghigh quality and safe projects across the estate.Client DetailsOur client is one of the largest utility providers in the UK and sector leading when it comes to renewable energy.The strategic goal is to become an energy neutral utility company - reducing reliance onexternal energy supply, increasing the energy security and providing cost certainty for customers which in turn, helpsreduce their carbon emissions towards net zero by 2030.DescriptionAs Senior Developer, youll be responsible for:

  • Proactively working with the business and third parties to identify and release potential value on the portfolio and third party land.
  • Working closely with the Property team to ensure that renewable energy options are considered for the use ofall land and property.
  • The development of identified sites, including spatial analysis relating to network availability andenvironmental constraints.
  • Development pipeline plans, including securing necessary internal and external resources to manage thedelivery of the pipeline.
  • Management of the planning process, coordination of appropriate consultants, submission of necessaryapplications and studies, interaction with relevant stakeholders, and correspondence with local planningauthorities.
  • Management of grid connection process; submission of grid connection applications and correspondencewith the relevant grid operators.
ProfileThis role is instrumental in the Renewables Team and the successful candidate will be comfortable working underpressure.
