Job Description

Software Engineer (Java)Insuretech£70,000 + BenefitsOVERVIEWAt Harnham were working with an insuretech who is looking for a Software Engineer to join to help build high-performing Saas platforms.They have grown quickly and are now approaching 30 people, with a data team sitting at the heart of the business looking to scale quickly.There is a fun and relaxed culture that prioritizes learning and development, as well as a passion for using data to help revolutionise the insurance space!THE ROLEYou will be:

  • Working very closely with the CTO and Engineering Manager, Product team and Machine Learning team.
  • Building a real-time platform to deliver complex analytics at scale
  • Helping to lead machine learning scalability
  • Help define and promote the companys data-driven culture
  • Work with Python extensively, AWS / GCP, Kubernetes.
SKILLS AND EXPERTISEYou must have:
  • 2-3 years of commercial experience in a Software Engineering role
  • Expert programming in Java
  • Cloud experience in AWS
  • Experience in Kubernetes
  • CI/CD / JIRA / Git
  • Unit testing / integration testing
  • Experience in scalable infrastructure
