Software Developer, Consultancy, United Kingdom.I am working exclusively with my client, (a leading software consultancy) who are looking for a Software Developer to join their organisation of experienced consultants working on agile software development projects, using open source technologies. This role will be part of a Programme that invests in developing the consulting leaders of the future.Key Skills (required):You already have strong technical skills and experience, typically 3-4 years in one or more techstacks. However, most important for this role is your attitude (open, collaborative, adaptable) ,future potential and desire to learn and develop . The programme will challenge you to growquickly, and is is tailored to your ambitions and skills. The programme offers a wide range of different client engagements to help you learn quickly.Proven commercial development experience, ideally on enterprise software developmentprojects, with mastery of at least one programming language.Passionate about good software design principles (Object Oriented / FunctionalProgramming) and technology and its developments in the industry.Interest in agile methodologies (eXtreme Programming, Scrum, Kanban) and cloudtechnologies.Fluent written and spoken English.A Computer Science or Engineering degree, or equivalent experience.Experience With (nice to have):Agile practices, and understanding of CI and CD principles.Databases (noSql and traditional rdbms).Functional languages (scala, clojure, etc).Version control (Git/Github, Mercurial).RESTful Web Services and generally web applications.Cloud/PaaS such as Heroku, AWS, GCP or Azure.
