Software Developer - Support, Test, Release, and Configuration Location – Central London and remote. Fixed Term Contract - 12 months - Fulltime 37.5 inc hours Salary - c£40,000 depending on experience (plus benefits including health cover, pension, and excellent career development) About the RoleHCA Healthcare UKs Solution Development team provides software development, integration, and solution delivery services to our hospitals, corporate offices, laboratories, and primary care settings.We are looking for a Software Developer to join our growing team. This is a newly created role, which will take on the 3rd line support, deployment management, configuration management and small/medium development tasks for our portfolio of applications. We are looking to modernise our estate and move as much as possible into the cloud.The first 2-3 months of the role will involve spending time with our Senior/Lead developers to understand the applications, their architecture, and their place in HCAs IT estate. Once established, the successful applicant will take the lead on centralising our configuration management in Azure DevOps, establishing test and deployment pipelines for all applications, and taking the lead on 3rd line support and small change requests for our application estate.This role would suit a variety of profiles, such as an aspiring DevOps engineer who would like an opportunity to build their experience; a junior developer looking for their next challenge; or someone who would like to see a wide range of applications and have a role with a large amount of autonomy.The ideal candidate for this position will be a self-starter who is able to work under high-level direction. Support and mentoring will be provided, particularly in the early days, but the expectation is that the candidate will be able to execute their objectives and work directly with users and colleagues without explicit instructions.Skills & Experience:
