Job Description

Software developer - 6 Months - RemoteI work at Nigel Frank on the Microsoft recruitment team. I have a client in need of a Software developer to start asap. Thanks.Contract details:Location: East London - hybrid - 2 days per weekIR35 status: Outside IR35Duration: 6 MonthsDay rate: £450 per daySoftware Engineer/dev responsibilities:

  • Developing robust and reliable solutions to defined IT requirements in line with departmental standards and procedures and the architectural framework
  • Working both autonomously and alongside others within your squad to ensure that work is done based on well written user stories with clear acceptance criteria
  • Collaborating with test engineers to ensure that testing is done using an automate first mindset
  • Employing good software engineering fundamentals, using agile methodologies (we use Scrum mainly)
Must have:
  • Net Web Forms experience
  • MVC experience
  • Proven Angular experience
  • Azure development experience (Azure Functions, Logic Apps etc.)
  • Microservices and RestFul APIs experience
  • messaging experience (NService Bus/ Rabbit MQ)
  • Strong commercial experience with C#, .Net Core, MVC, JavaScript/HTML and SQL
  • Experience of serverless application architecture such as Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps
  • Experience of CI/CD using tools such as Azure DevOps, Team City, Octopus etc.
  • Experience of working with microservices.
  • Experience of working in a cross-functional delivery squad working with product owners, solution analysts, solution architects and test analysts
  • Knowledge and experience using the Microsoft technology stack and associated development tools
  • Awareness and understanding of key DevOps and cloud concepts including CI/CD, IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
  • Strong Scrum skills, including contributing to Scrum and agile ceremonies, including daily stands-ups, planning sessions, sprint reviews, 3-amigos, backlog refinement etc.
Nice to have:
  • TDD and BDD - theoretical and practical experience.
  • Experience of using containerisation tools such as Docker
  • Awareness of Microsoft D365 CRM
  • Awareness of Sitecore CMS D365
  • PowerShell scripting skills"
