About the TeamThe Communications Office has been at the forefront of supporting the House of Commons throughout the pandemic and has kept millions of people informed and involved in the work of the House and its MPs.This is a great time to join the Communications Office, and work with both Houses of Parliament. Following recent developments to how communications are delivered at Parliament, we are seeking new colleagues to join our UK Parliament Social Media Team.The UK Parliament Social Media Team communicates the work of both Houses of Parliament, as well as the work of our colleagues who manage and maintain our historic collections and the iconic Palace of Westminster.About the roleWe are seeking new colleagues who will be responsible for creating and delivering content for UK Parliament social media accounts, while also joining in and supporting the wider communications efforts of either House when needed.There are three different posts available, where responsibilities will vary (For further information, please refer to the Job Description)In all of these roles, you will be adept at managing diverse stakeholder relationships and navigating a complex organisational environment. Highly motivated, you will be happy to work on your own initiative, ensuring that relevant colleagues and stakeholdersare clearly briefed and supportive of your work. Strong post-production and an understanding of design principles is desirable.The three roles include:
  • Multimedia Content Producer (audio/visual)
  • Visual Digital Content Producer (Photography/videography)
  • Senior Digital Communications Officer (written content)
