These innovative solutions provide opportunitiesfor exceptionally highly talented individuals to contribute to the success of this transition where you will be working with some of the best people in the industry working on new and ground-breaking initiatives utilising the very latest technology.As a Senior Business Analyst, you will support the Energy business working in projects for Power Trading focusing on trading activities. You will experience a great opportunity to participate in delivering IT solutions in support of Energy transformation.The RoleWorking as a subject matter expert of the European Power businesses. You would lead the identification and documentation of business requirements, working with technical teams to determine feasible solution options. You would actively manage the requirementsthrough the end-to-end solution delivery lifecycle to developing handover and expertise to the support team.Your role will vary depending on the projects in your portfolio, typically you would perform the following day to day activities: Responsible for the successful planning and delivery of the project(s) business analysis methods, tools, and technology. Responsible for assuring functional design, resolves technical design issues and is accountable for solution design decision making. Acts as product SME for the associated delivery teams, developing a position as trusted advisor. Close alignment with Business and IT Manager teams to align on product roadmap, demand pipeline, capacity, and capability requirements. Ability to coach and mentor wider business analysis team - playing a key role in elevating the overall capabilities around the Business domain and product knowledge. Provide leadership to the teams and be responsible for each team members development plan and performance management. Point of escalation for issues which adversely affect systems performance, design, or functionalities. Strong leadership, sound analytical skill and change management capabilities to work independently on transformation, improvement initiatives, liaising effectively with senior stakeholders and vendors on complex problems etc. Describe technology in terms easily understood by business customers and set realistic customer expectations for the project outcome. Adjust customer expectations in accordance with changes in scope. Generate innovative approaches to existing problems or new opportunities. Work closely with stakeholders to build trust and understand their goals, motivations, constraints, risks, and operating environmentWhat you will bring Typical Years of Experience: 10-15 years total IT experience, 8-10+ years IT BA Experience, Experience in the Power Trading Domain, especially the understanding of UK, NL Power MarketsoEnd to End experience of European Power Asset OnboardingPricingForecastingWholesale TradingNominationsoExperience of a translating requirements for ETRM System AnalystsoDetailed experience of Deal BookingPortfolio/Book Structures and ManagementPnL Explained Knowledge of physical assets trading (CCGT, Wind, Solar, Battery etc) Knowledge of short-term power trading preferably European Intra-day and Day Ahead Auctions Knowledge of ETRM Systems Solutioning End to End IT Integration for Power Trading.This needs combining with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment. You also need to be a self-starter, a logical thinker and a quick learner, with strong initiative and excellentcommunication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
