Job Description

A leading, global financial services company is looking for an interim SMR Specialist. You will be responsible for keeping the SMR documentation up to date, ensuring the processes in relation to SMR are current ie regulatory submissions, annual fitness and propriety, job descriptions etc, and preparing reports on new developments relating to the SMR.   • Keeping the organisations Management Responsibilities Map up to date including all supporting handbooks, policies and procedures and change log/resisters
  • Keeping individual Statement of Responsibilities current
  • Maintaining and managing SMR documentation and preparing SMR filings as required
  • Preparing briefing notes, presentations and MI reports for Senior Management
  • Assisting with providing guidance, briefing and training as required
  • Monitoring regulatory developments and proposing changes
  • Skills and experience
  • You must have gained the above SMR regulatory experience within Banking or Financial Services
  • You must have some experience working on an SMR team
  • It is essential you have strong knowledge in SMCR regulations and banking compliance and regulation
  • Must have operational experience on SMR BAU
  • Must also have advisory experience ie Maintenance of MRM, SoRs, Reasonable Steps, Delegations Schedule, Logs and any other required documentation
  • Experience using Connect.
  • You will demonstrate strong organisation, prioritisation and multi-tasking skills
  • You are self-motivated and have excellent problem solving skills
  • Demonstrate strong influencing and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels
