Job Description

Small Works Project Manager - Commercial Construction - Media Sector - Central London / Hybrid - up to £45kWe are looking for a proactive, dynamic and commercially aware Commercial Construction Small Works Project Manager, with approximately 2-3 years construction project management experience, to join a successful organisation in London.Our client undertakes a range of exciting commercial construction projects, primarily in the media sector. The Small Works Project Manager’s main responsibility will be to manage the initial small works requirements for the PMs on existing projects an progress to running small projects with a value from £100-£30,000, from their initial inception throughto handover and completion.What’s on offer:This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with relevant experience in Construction Project Management to join a highly successful organisation with a fantastic client base in the media sector. Our client is paying a competitive salary of up to £45k (dependenton experience) and hybrid working is available with 3 days on site (London-centric) and 2 days at home.Key responsibilities as the Small Works Project Manager will include:

  • Ensuring small works projects are delivered within set time frames
  • Managing own projects whilst assisting the PMs in the management of the project programme
  • Building solid relationships with clients and managing communications with all parties involved with each project
  • Producing costing documentations and assisting with submissions of tenders and PQQ and SQ submissions
  • Coordinating all contractual requirements including on-site project management, cost control, programming, document management and H&S
  • Producing progress reports of projects as required
  • Providing aftercare services to clients

What we’re looking for:
  • Solid understanding of, and demonstrable experience in, similar small works project management roles within the construction industry (approximately 2+ years)
  • Proven track record of managing numerous contracts valued between £100 - £30,000
  • Experienced in leading or assisting in the pricing and submission of tenders and PQQ and SQ submissions
  • Good understanding of H&S (SMSTS, IOSH, CSCS)
  • Experience in producing project H&S information including CPPs and RAMS (in liaison with H&S teams)
  • Understanding of budgeting and costing
  • Experience in costing documents and producing progress reports
  • Good understanding of CDM is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels and build solid relationships with clients
  • IT literate with experience of MS Office - MS Project is highly beneficial
  • AutoCad skills are beneficial
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Highly organised with the ability to run multiple projects at the same time
  • Proactive problem solving capabilities
  • Full UK driving licence required as this role may include nationwide travel
