Job Description

SRE Lead required for a leading Fintech to manage a small team of Site Reliability Engineers with a mix of operations, software engineering and infrastructure disciplines.You will be responsible for keeping all client-facing services and production systems running smoothly. You must be hands-on and able to redevelop and rearchitect the platform to improve its quality and reliability.Essential requirements:

  • 5 years of Software Engineering experience
  • Previous experience in an SRE/DevOps, Engineering or Product support function
  • Ability to develop code in one or more of the following languages: java, JavaScript or T-SQL
  • Passionate about problem solving and performance improvements
  • Good understanding of architecture with a background in architecture design
  • Database performance tuning and a good understanding of stored procedures
  • Experience in setting up monitoring and logging to proactively identify potential problems (Datadog, Elastic stack, AppDynamics)
  • Configuring, monitoring and performance tuning containers (Apache Tomcat, Apache Karaf) and message brokers like ActiveMQ
  • Load balancing and scaling using containers (Kubernetes / Docker)
  • Experience in running microservices / multiple Spring Boot services
  • Encourage and promote a culture of collaboration between teams
