Job Description

Site Manager – Architectural Metalwork Location: Working around London, with Head Office in DunmowSalary: Competitive salary & benefits package commensurate with experience.About the Company:Our client is a large-scale architectural metalwork supplier to the UK. They specialize in Staircases - High rise residential Contracts – Public work contracts such as Stations and Infrastructure – Cladding and Rain Screen bespoke packages aligned to metalwork packages. Most of their works are within the M25 area. Project values typically range from 500k to over £8m and include glass, timber, Aluminum, Stainless Steel – as well as the full range of Architectural steelwork.The successful applicant must be fully experienced in architectural metal work and secondary steelwork for the construction industry (5 years min experience).A position has become available for aSite Manager to work within their increasing busy team, working in and around the London area. The Site Managerwill be responsible for managing the works package across a range of sites, liaising with the Contracts Manager, Sub-contractors and other trades, co-ordinating all aspects of the works so that the building project is completed in line with the requirements,Site Manager Responsibilities:

  • Managing Health & Safety onsiteobserving safe working practices & enforcing health & safety on site
  • Managing Project Program
  • Checking and preparing site reports, designs, and drawings
  • Maintain quality control procedures
  • Produce method statements and risk assessments as required
  • Plan resourcing requirements and liaise with Contract/Project Manager
  • Provide efficient and effective management and supervision of site teams
  • Motivate and develop teams providing clear instruction
  • Identify training and development needs to improve/maintain the team knowledge and experience
    • Site Manager Requirements:
  • Previously worked within a similar role and environment for a minimum of 5 years.
  • Experience in managing construction projects
  • Understanding of proper safety procedures and recognition of hazards
  • Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings, Health& Safety documentation, and construction documents
  • Basis knowledge of commercial compliance
  • Strong computer skills with expertise of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • Hold current SMSTS certificate
  • First Aid trained
