They are looking for an ambitious, driven and determined Site Engineering Manager to join their senior leadership team.Role & Responsibilities:*Managing a team of 25 people - maintenance manager, planning manager, senior engineers, automation engineers, multi-skilled shift engineers (24/7), apprentices*Lead and develop the engineering team to achieve targeted levels of performance, customer satisfaction, quality standards and that health, safety & environmental standards are maintained*Able to influence change through constructive, effective & proactive management*Empower the team to foster an environment of continuous improvement *Delivery of the annual site maintenance plan and development of the strategic 5-10 year plan*Reporting on daily engineering availability & performance to group management level*Responsible for capital and revenue budget around £2.5m*Leadership and development of the engineering team, ensuring skills gaps are bridged, KPis are achieved and legal training is provided*Responsible for capital projects that are vital to the success of the site *Drive optimisation of asset care management & continuous improvement processesKnowledge, Skills & Experience:*Must be a strong man-manager, have an emphasis to make change positively, influencing change through proactive & effective communication*Massive emphasis on the team, team working & team culture*Proven senior management experience in food/FMCG manufacturing*Able to run on a very lean budget, make changes/improvements through process, effective PPM scheduling, engineering downtime, not just throwing money and things*Happy working in a commercial, challenging, results driven and fast-paced environment *Strong leadership skills, with an ability to build relationships and influence at all levels*Capital projects management, direct budget control, health, safety & environmental*Experience in machinery & systems maintenance, automation process, factory design & layout, planned/preventative maintenance*Excellent engagement skills and ability to move a team forward when money is not the answerBenefits Package:Competitive Salary, Car Allowance, 10% Matched Pension, X4 Life Assurance, BUPA Healthcare, 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays, Staff Discounts Platform, Manager Development ProgrammeJob Reference No: CG19813 / 534"To apply please email your CV / resume to [ ]".If you are interested in this role or looking for something similar please contact our Managing Consultant, Chris Gumm on .
