We now have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Commercial Dance Tutor on a permanent, sessional (ADHOC) basis.As a Commercial Dance Tutor, you will provide supervision of your curriculum area, ensuring that you meetbudget, quality and operational targets. You will deliver high quality, learner-focused education providing a secure and friendly environment in order for your students to succeed. In your role you will plan, lead and develop the curriculum area within theestablishment to ensure compliance with the national curriculum framework, the integration of functional skills, best practice and quality targets.In order to do this, you will need:A teaching / assessing (as appropriate) qualification and subject-specialistqualification at Level 4 (Level 5 - new standards) with a commitment to obtain the relevant outstanding Level 4 (Level 5 - new standards) qualification within a specified time scaleEnglish and Maths - must be qualified to a minimum of Level 2A demonstrabletrack record of effective teaching and delivering in the subject specialismFamiliarity with the Pearson BTEC Level 3 Performing Arts Practice specification and the Pearson HNC Level 4 qualification would be an advantageFamiliar with a variety of commercialdance styles and heel work and have the ability to choreograph group pieces and assess to a curriculum, both practically and academicallyThe Manchester College is an equal opportunities employer welcoming applications from all sections of the community.
