An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager in the Cardiothoracic & Respiratory Services based at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. The post is a Maternity Leave 12 month fixed term contract. This is open to staff who are interested in a secondment if agreeable with your current line manager. The Cardiothoracic Surgery services are one of the largest in Europe and there is the opportunity to work alongside world class clinical teams within the Barts Heart Centre & Barts Thorax Centre. Respiratory medicine at St Bartholomew’s is predominately NHSE commissioned services such as Severe Asthma and Sleep & Ventilation Services.We are looking for an experienced operational manager, secondary care experience is a must & experience of managing surgical services is desired but not essential. Post holders will require strong analytic skills, experience of managing RTT & Cancer Access Targets and experience of managing large administrative teams is desirable. The post will have responsibility for ArCare & Tuberculosis Services which are based at Mile End Hospital. This is a busy role with opportunities to gain exposure in budget management, coding & writing business cases.
