Senior Web Developer / Architect / React / NodeJS / DevOps / Azure / 6 months+ / Inside IR35 / £800-£1000pd My industry-leading retail client is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Web Developer / Architect for an initial 6-month contract. The position will initially be remote but will require some onsite work in London when its feasible to do so. You will be leading a small team to deliver high-quality web-based solutions for the retail sector. You will be a skilled Senior Developer with hands-on abilities but you will also have the ability to take on architectural tasks too. This really is a great opportunity to create some industry-leading technical solutions for one of the UKs biggest retailers. Job description: * Strong Web Development skills including security, accessibility, responsive design, component development* Able to lead a small team to deliver high-quality solutions in agreed time frames* You will monitor and take ownership of production infrastructure issues and see them through to resolution* You will be expected to play a core part in preparing for high traffic events* You will proactively propose new ideas to ensure the availability and performance of our clients systems* You will look for ways of automating manual processesSkills and experience: * Expert in NodeJS and React * The ability to lead a small team to deliver high-quality solutions in agreed time frames* Strong Web Development skills including security, accessibility, responsive design, component development* Able to switch between infrastructure and web development work as required* DRY/YAGNI/SOLID principles* TDD* Nginx* Load balancing experience - ex: Kubernetes Ingress controllers* Strong Azure deployment/configuration/management experience* Strong Azure deployment/configuration/management experience* Strong Infrastructure-as-Code skills (Terraform)* CI/CD (Azure DevOps, Jenkins)* Containers (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS)* Configuration Management (Ansible)* GIT / GitHub Enterprise* Ability to do on-call (5pm-9am support on a rota)* Familiarity with network infrastructure concerns: VNet/subnet planning* CDN experience: Akamai, Akamai CLI* Test-Driven Infrastructure* Alerting and Monitoring to ensure availability and performance* Agile ExperienceIf this sounds of interest then please dont hesitate to send over your CV for immediate consideration.Spring Technology acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
