Job Description

Senior Web DeveloperWe are working with a world leading health research organisation who pride themselves on improving health in the UK and worldwide. They have over 3,300 staff based all over the world with their core hub based in London.Senior Web Developer role purposeYou will support, design, create, test and document new and amended programs for supplied specifications within agreed standards.As the Senior Web Developer you will also have the following key responsibilities:

  • Support, maintain and develop the organisations web applications and Content Management System
  • Contribute to the structure and architecture of the organisations core systems
  • Assist with the technical development of the web and digital services
  • Manage the web servers and facilitate application upgrades and patching
  • Provide technical information and support for the organisations digital strategies
  • Work with third party IT suppliers
Key qualifications and experience
  • Full understanding of the software lifecycle and various software development methodologies
  • Testing techniques used to plan and execute software test of application components
  • 3-4 years experience of strong PHP development including OOP and use of the MVC framework
  • 3-4 years experience with JavaScript and CSS; Angular, React, Bootstrap
  • Proven record with programming and interacting with API web services
  • Experience working with MySQL, SQL Server, DB2 and Oracle
  • Skills in CMS support; Usage, customisation and development of modules and templates (SharePoint would be ideal)
