Senior Therapeutic Fostering Social Worker How youll make a differenceOur social workers make a real difference. As a Senior Therapeutic Fostering Social Worker, youll be: Providing professional supervision and developmental support, to a Social Work Assistant. Work in a multi-agency context, to ensure that vulnerable children and young peopleare identified, protected, and supported to achieve positive outcomes through the provision of well planned, integrated and coordinated services. Design and deliver training, and workshops to childcare social workers, other professionals, foster carers andbirth parents around the impact of trauma, taking a lead across services for children. Chair meetings in negotiation with the co-worker and lead on the recommendations from the assessment and support of foster carers/birth families who are willing and ableto care for a child who has suffered significant trauma. Work closely with all teams across childrens services, building positive relationships and maintaining a team around the family approach.What we need from you A qualified social worker with relevantregistration to practice and a good understanding of asset and strengths based approaches to social work A problem solver, confident about making important decisions, underpinned by a genuine passion to work collaboratively with children, young people andfamilies to meet their goals and aspirations Innovation, positivity and dedication. This ispayable upon successful completion of your probationary period (after approximately 3-6 months) and is subject to eligibility criteria.
