Job Description

Are you looking to be part of a fast paced and customer focused Test Team within a Great Place To Work accredited organisationWe are currently seeking a Senior Test Manager who can offer program-level guidance, proficient management abilities, and analytical expertise. This role entails leading testing initiatives, whether within a dedicated testing project, a managed testing service,or a development project. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive experience in both functional and non-functional testing.A crucial aspect of this role is the leadership of client engagement for test services, including supervising a team of Test Managers and collaborate closely with high level customers.We can offer great career progression opportunities, ability to be based anywhere across the UK, benefits which you can flex to meet your needs and training and development opportunities.This position can be based in any of our Centres of Excellence: Blackpool, Newport, Newcastle, Gosport, Glasgow, or York, with a hybrid approach. Additionally, there may be occasional travel required to our Gosport Site.What youll be doing:

  • Responsible for the delivery of testing across the entire programme of testing.
  • Effectively oversee multiple testing projects within a Programme, ensuring a unified testing approach across all projects.
  • To produce a Test Strategy and review test plans across multiple test phases, utilising a risk-based approach.
  • To examine how good practice and breakthrough practices may be used to benefit internal and client-specific delivery.
  • To provide evaluations and management of third party suppliers.
  • To produce highlight reports to senior partners.
  • To report own and team’s progress and issues in a timely manner as defined in the Test Strategy and the agreed team organisation.
  • To raise issues that might impact on quality or the ability to complete tests according to plan, and to proactively seek appropriate solutions.
  • To carry out and control audits of test plans, scripts and results and support test executions if required by the test strategy.
What you’ll bring:
  • At an advanced level, the ideal candidate should possess the ability to effectively articulate and demonstrate a deep understanding of both Test and Project Management principles.
  • Has a demonstrable understanding of testing in general, and an in depth understanding in a specific test area. Test Automation, Performance Testing, Static Testing, System Integration, Test Design Techniques or Usability Testing.
  • Proven experience of working as a Senior Manager within large, complex, solutions integration projects and programmes as well as team leadership of a testing team.
  • Experience working with 3rd party suppliers onshore.
  • Very strong stakeholder management skills at a senior level.
