Job Description

We currently require the services of a Senior Test Engineer to work for a well respected client in London on a permanent basisSenior Test EngineerLondonPermanentHybrid working Necessary experience or qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience in building test automation frameworks for mobile and web applications and evolving these over time
  • Proven background in UI/UX, Functional, Non-Functional and Regression testing
  • In-depth experience of testing web and mobile applications (iOS & Android)
  • Creation of Functional and Non-Functional test plans for new features
  • Experienced in effective manual & exploratory testing techniques
  • Experienced with test case management software, organising test sets and reporting on progress
  • A background in Non-Functional testing would be beneficial
  • Experience of automated API testing by analysing API specifications/definitions and creating suitable automated test coverage
  • Experience in executing API tests, diagnosing issues and advising on best practice
  • Experience with protocols such as SOAP/REST and object notations such as JSON and XML
  • Know the importance of implementing testing and testability into all development activities to ensure quality of deliverables
  • Experience with building and maintaining testing frameworks (e.g. Appium, Selenium)
  • Experience of scripting languages (e.g. Java, JavaScript, Angular, React)
  • Experience of the Page Object Model design pattern
  • A good understanding of Git source control and know whats needed to ensure an efficient delivery pipeline
  • An understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Have at least 2 years experience in working in a Scrum and/or Kanban team
  • An excellent understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and experience in being part of a team that can design, code, test, build, deploy and support mobile and web applications.
  • ISTQB Advanced Level certification
