Job Description

Role: Senior Systems AdministratorLocation: Central LondonPackage: £65,000 Plus 33 Holidays & Formal TrainingSector: Film & Media ProductionAn award-winning animation studio is searching for an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join their growing IT team to undertake a diverse range of responsibilities, including maintenance of the IT infrastructure, project delivery, team mentoring,and provision of senior level support.The Role:

  • Delivering a wide range of exciting projects
  • Build and troubleshoot servers and virtual servers
  • Collaborate with the IT Support team to ensure all systems are operating efficiently
  • Work with scripting tools such as Python, BASH, and PowerShell to automate tasks
  • Configuring and supporting databases - MySQL and MongoDB
  • Assist with mentoring junior IT team members
  • Manage multiple projects and workloads with strong organisational skills
  • Work closely with the Head of IT to ensure all systems are operating efficiently
  • Collaborate with the Head of IT to continuously improve current systems and implement new technologies
Essential Skills/Experience
  • Linux Servers
  • Virtual Servers - VMware or Hyper V
  • Databases - MySQL or MongoDB
  • Scripting - PowerShell, Python, or BASH
  • Project experience
  • Experience in the film production industry would be a huge advantage
  • System configuration and monitoring
  • Basic network troubleshooting
  • Any experience with storage solutions such as NAS or SAN would make you stand out
