Job Description

Senior Supervisor - Social Housing: Repairs and Maintenance£38-40K + Van + BenefitsCovering West London & North West LondonHowells Solutions are working with a leading social housing / maintenance contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Supervisor to join their team in West/North West London.The Senior Supervisor will be responsible for the effective delivery of the repairs service through directly employed operatives and subcontractors. You will oversee a team of Supervisors and you will be responsible for ensuring company procedures are implemented and the maximum levels of performance are attained, whilst ensuring the health and safety of all staff, subcontractors and residents.You must have experience working for a leading repairs / maintenance contractor on £multimillion maintenance contract within the social housing sector to be considered for this role.Who were looking for:

  • You will be working for a maintenance contractor as a Supervisor or Senior Supervisor.
  • You will have experience of working on reactive maintenance contracts.
  • You will be responsible for coordinating teams of Supervisors, maintenance operatives and sub-contractors. You will have excellent client liaison skills and be responsible for the smooth running of a very busy maintenance contract.
  • You will manage a team of maintenance professionals as well as acting as a liaison to the tenants, ensuring high standards of workmanship are achieved working to strict deadlines.
    • Senior Voids Supervisor Experience
  • Supervisory experience overseeing a Social Housing R&M work stream
  • Strong technical knowledge across Trades - Carpentry, Plumbing, Plastering etc.
  • You should be fully PC literate and comfortable with MS systems such as word, excel & outlook.
  • Knowledge of SOR codes/schedule of rates
  • Formal qualification and training within the Building industry equivalent and relevant supervisory experience
  • Working knowledge of maintenance service delivery systems i.e. Opti-time, North Gate, Impact, DRS.
  • Scaffold Management and inspection
  • Health and Safety
  • Trade background
  • Strong management skills and the ability to motivate a team at all levels
  • The ability to adapt to busy workload
  • Ability to be innovative and creative to resolve complex issues
