In fact, making progress in this area is one of our 6 corporate objectives, and in order to succeed we need to transform our technology as well as our skills, structures and culture.The Strategic Transformation Team at Cancer Research UK has recently been created to provide the glue between different parts of the organisation who all need to work together to meet our goals. This team is responsible for ensuring we have a shared direction, that we are prioritising our efforts in the right areas, that we are achieving what we set out to achieve, and that we are taking action to overcome challenges where needed.We are looking for a Senior Strategic Transformation Manager who can help make this happen. You will have a particular focus on driving robust and aligned strategic thinking, facilitation of a x-organisational working group, internal comms and engagement and bringing in external insight.Youll be be experienced in planning, managing and delivering strategic projects. Youll also be an influencer, an excellent relationship-builder, and youll have the ability to solve problems in a structured way, utilising data analysis, sound financial and business acumen, and logical reasoning to support your conclusions.Key Accountabilities: Drive overall delivery of strategic thinking work and drive discrete modules of strategy thinking work related to data and digitally led engagement (e.g. data and insight capability) - including framing problems, analysis, synthesis of findings and making recommendations Create impactful papers and presentations for a variety of stakeholder groups, including Executive and Trustee meetings Shape agendas for and chair monthly working group to achieve defined objectives - x-org group of ~30 people who are responsible for delivery of relevant work under EPDD portfolio of work. Continuously review and refine approach to maximise effectiveness. Build a strong internal network with people who are delivering initiatives, support them to identify barriers to progress, take action to resolve and escalate where needed Plan and execute internal communication and engagement, drawing on support from EPDD transformation manager + comms experts Plan and execute a programme of external insight, working with people across the organisation to leverage their networks As required, supervise other team members / people from other directorates to deliver work Contribute to building capability, effectiveness and culture within S&T Minimum Criteria: Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to communicate and build effective relationships at all levels A strategic thinker with the ability to interpret complex information, put it into context and having a clear view of the "big picture" Strong project management and planning experience and comfortable with working flexibly and in a rapidly changing working environment Ability to influence and resolve conflict and construct innovative solutions to overcome challenges Experience of planning, managing and delivering strategic projects To view the full candidate pack please click hereWhat will I gainWithout you we wouldnt be able to achieve our aim of seeing 3 in 4 people survive cancer by 2034.
