This role will be responsible for providing technical support for the database environment, including overseeing the development and organisation of the databases, assessment and implementation of new technologies, and provide a long-term perspective on the relationship of database technology to the business opportunities facing the company. It is extremely important to the company that the on-line processing database systems offer the highest reliability and performance possible. The senior SQL Server Developer is expected to train and develop technical support and applications staff and provide automated processes to better manage the development and test database environments, and provide a working model of our transaction processing environment for capacity assessment and planning.Essential:SQL Server 2016+Transact SQL in SQL Server 2016+.Database TuningData ModellingExperience working in a development team.Experience in building scalable transactional systems using SQL Server.Performance monitoring and troubleshooting.Desireable:Azure SQL DBAzure platformData partitioning on high data volumesMicrosoft SQL Server CertifiedRedgate toolsetTSqlT Unit TestingTechnical documentation skillsScrum AgileDegree in Computer Science or related fieldOther duties / skills:Ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.Ability to work within a team-oriented, collaborative environment.Good problem solving skills.Good communication skills and ability to be forward thinking and self-motivated.Good written and oral communication skills.Committed to continuous professional developmentPlease note that this role can be based anywhere in the UK as primarily it will involve remote engagement with the existing team.Base salary of £50,000 - £60,000 + Package is on offer to the successful candidate.BBBH19675
