Jump into an empowered role doing primarily front end feature development. You will report directly to Carl, our Head of Technology and be able to influence our architectural and engineering decisions. Youwill work with our modern tech stack, and exercise your own judgement in key decisions. You will design and engineer your features for scalability and resilience and deploy them into a state of the art service-based platform. Youll also work closely withthe product team and be part of the design process of our world class products.*Key Responsibilities: * * Use React, CSS in JS and Webpack to build frontend applications* Deliver features into a production system, utilizing Agile processes such as Code Reviewon Github, Pair Programming, Continuous Delivery to AWS using Kubernetes and Terraform, Unit Testing and end-to-end testing* Spec, plan and estimate work* Use GraphQL, NodeJS, TypeScript, Postgres and Terraform to build and deploy backend services (thoughwe understand if youre not an expert here and have the wider platform team to help!)* Help maintain and improve our infrastructure and pipelines* Proactively research new technologies and bring them to the team to help maintain our edge* Help to maintaina stable production system by responding to live issues on a weekly On Call rotation. Outside of work hours you will only be notified of the most critical issues*About you:* You are a dedicated and resourceful engineer with experience in working in a continuousdelivery production environment, and a deep understanding of Agile processes. You have experience building well architected frontend applications. You are constantly researching technologies, theories, design patterns and architectures, and are able to developopinions about them. You are humble, know when to ask for help, and enjoy learning alongside your team.
