About the Role JOB OVERVIEW We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the Senior Software Engineer position to advance the technology capabilities of our Portfolio Controls IT team. The team is responsible for building applications/tools to streamline investment implementation tools. This position will primarily focus on building and maintaining solutions for the Portfolio Controls group. This individual will be responsible for leading design, development, and support of mission critical applications that portfolio implementation teamsrely on. This position also requires a high level of collaboration and interaction with various stakeholders, and ability to multi-task and deliver in a fast paced and evolving environment. This individual must be a team player, and a quick learner with adesire and willingness to own deliverables. Strong communication, organization and delivery skills are desired. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with business analysts and engineers to deliver quality, performant solutions.
  • Design, prototype, and code new software components and applications.
  • Modify and enhance existing systems to meet business needs.
  • Ownership of backend infrastructure to keep it current, with focus performance, scalability, and stability
  • Ensure adherence and contribution to advance code-quality standards within the development and QA teams, such as continuous integration, code reviews, and all required release documentation
  • Author technical design and support documentation
  • Assist/lead production deployments and system support
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Display strong ownership of outcomes, attention to details, creativity.
  • Hands-on programming experience in Java or other programming languages is required.
  • Experience building REST APIS, server-side components.
  • Experience with data modelling in relational or document-oriented databases technologies such as MySQL/Postgres/Elasticsearch is desired.
  • Experience developing applications with cloud technologies, such as AWS desired.
  • Experience with various software development/testing methodologies, and experience with tools like JIRA, GIT, Artifactory, Jenkins.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Collaborative; can work both independently and as part of a team, in a fast-paced, business-critical environment
