Job DescriptionThis role offers the following Work Appropriately strategy:Hybrid:This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee’s role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired. This position requires an employee to be onsiteupto 3 times per week.Locations: Concord, NC; Austin, TX; Roswell, GA; Milford, MITeam Overview:GM’s Motorsports Software team analyzes, defines, and delivers next generation groundbreaking Motorsports IT software solutions. Using both innovative cloud-based infrastructure and software development standards, these solutions enable innovative interactionsbetween GM Global Engineering, GM Motorsports, and our Race teams that accelerate our drivers to the finish line first! Our combined team of analysts, architects, developers, data engineers, testers, and project managers work with GM Motorsports Engineeringand Race teams to ensure podium wins for GM’s NASCAR, IndyCar, and IMSA sportscar teams!Job Summary:The software group supporting motorsports and the Race Vehicle Platform is looking for a Sr Software Developer to join our team. For this role you will expected to have demonstrated success in software project delivery experience in leading technical effortsdeveloping applications using a variety of tools, languages, frameworks and technologies. Since supporting the race teams is our top priority, the developer is encouraged to travel to at least one to four races to experience the customers using the applicationin a live scenario.Responsibilities:

  • Full lifecycle application development using standard frameworks and coding standards & patterns
  • developing software applications using sound, repeatable, industry standard methodologies
  • Demonstrate proficiency in multiple programming languages, tools, and technologies
  • Performance tuning, usability assessment/improvement
  • Engage in the identification & remediation of software issues related to code quality, security, pattern/frameworks, or software usability
  • Proven understanding of maintaining and debugging live software systems
  • Mentor junior software developers and review the software being developed.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience developing web applications
  • Excellent technical knowledge of C#/.Net and React
  • Demonstrates strong experience/knowledge of Azure and Azure Resources
  • Good understanding of software development best practices
  • Experience working in an agile/scrum environment
  • UI Design experience
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of different web platforms and reuse
Preferred:
  • Passion for Motorsports and working in a high-pace environment
