Ready to get started Hit the apply button!An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Software Test Engineer to join the European IT team. As a QA subject matter expert, you have broad experience in industry QA best-practices and having worked in a variety of business environments. You are proactive and passionate about guiding Agile teams in the adoption and implementation of sound QA processes.In this position, you will take a hands-on role in the testing of your own projects, as well as providing guidance and coaching to other test engineers in the department. You will play an active role in the design of QA strategies and advocate these among peers. This will include manual and automated testing techniques using industry standard tools such as Microsoft Azure DevOps, SpecFlow, Selenium, SoapUI and Postman.The European IT team is responsible for the development and ongoing ownership of software solutions primarily supporting European business needs. This includes web applications and integration solutions based on the .NET technology stack, increasingly leveraging MS Azure cloud, to serve internal employees and external customers.This is a permanent role in the European IT team based in Egham, Surrey, though can be performed remotely from any UK location. Responsibilities

  • Automated and manual testing of web applications (C#, Selenium, JIRA, Azure DevOps)
  • Integration solutions and REST API test automation (C#, SpecFlow, Postman)
  • SQL Server database testing
  • Implement risk-based test approach where applicable
  • Drive discussions with peers on QA strategies, on both generic and project-specific levels
  • Guide and coach other test engineers in technical competencies
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of product documentation for existing and new applications.
  • Operate in a large corporate environment with geographically distributed teams and colleagues
  • Occasional out-of-hours duties may be required to support releases in production environment
  • Protect our customers, our employees, and our brands by incorporating security and compliance in all decisions and daily job responsibilities; follow security policies and procedures
  • Qualifications Preferred
  • Experience in automated and manual testing of web applications (C#, Selenium, JIRA, Azure DevOps)
  • Experience in integration solutions and REST API test automation (C#, SpecFlow, Postman)
  • Experience in SQL Server database testing
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Teamworking ethos and strong collaboration focus
  • Work on initiative, results-oriented and a solid work ethic requiring minimal direction
  • Flexible in the face of changing priorities
  • Willing to cross-train in new tools and technologies according to team needs
