Job Description

Hamilton Court FX is a boutique Foreign Exchange business with a growing finance and compliance team. As a Settlements Assistant, you will be required to have excellent organisational skills with a focus on attention to detail for the timely execution anddelivery of all settlements and payments.Key Deliverables include:

  • Preparing & executing multiple currency payments for clients and brokers
  • Assisting with payment investigations and client settlement queries
  • Updating and maintaining the financial requirements in HCFXs trading platform
  • Dealing with queries in a timely manner to resolve settlement/account queries and errors
  • Liaising directly with the compliance, sales and dealing teams as well as with HCFXs clients
  • Assisting with bank account reconciliations and client schedules
  • General assistance to the Head of Settlements
  • Liaising with counterparties, beneficiaries, clients, and internal dealing teams as appropriate
  • Processing and monitoring of daily payable and receivable transactions
The successful candidate will need to be articulate, detail orientated, confident and able to display a clear level of intelligence when liaising with various stakeholders within the business. The ability to perform consistently in a role that is vital tothe day to day running of the business is vital.Ideally you will have previous settlements and back-office experience in a financial institution or equivalent, or further education in a finance/economics discipline, ideally with exposure to foreign exchange instruments and/or derivatives. As a minimumyou will have experience as a Finance Assistant or be able to demonstrate experience with financial data handling as the role requires dealing with payments, bank reconciliations and mathematical schedules.HCFX is a lively place to work, and we combine an interesting role with great benefits that promote the health and wellbeing of our staff.
